COVER LETTER
Mr. Aaron Wolfe
Director of Human Resources
Olean City School District
410 West Sullivan Street
Olean, New York 14760
Dear Mr. Aaron Wolfe,
Greetings and best wishes to you and your staff. It is with much respect and great enthusiasm that I take this opportunity to inform you of my interest in the Industrial Arts/Technology Teacher position within the Olean City School District.
It is no secret that my admiration for Olean Schools has never wavered and that my desire to rejoin the district in a teaching capacity is still something that remains strong.
I trust that the Olean City School District holds the same belief as I in that the world is becoming increasingly reliant on technology and that our students need to be adequately prepared as they advance through their schooling, enter the workforce, and assimilate themselves into adulthood. With wide-ranging experiences in web development, business management, maintenance and construction, as well as my educational path that includes studies in, but not limited to, technical drawing, solid modeling, communication systems, and machining, I feel that I obtain the skillset needed in order to be successful in this position.
With that said, it is my most recent experience, teaching at an award-winning STEM school of excellence, that I feel has prepared me most for this opportunity. As an instructor of dynamic technology curriculum that incorporates drones, coding, 3D printing, animation, cybersecurity, graphics design, and more, I feel that my goal here is to not just present myself as a teacher applying for a vacant position, but also as someone who brings with him a vision for introducing an exciting new-age technology program to the students of Olean High School.
Furthermore, beyond experience and education, it is my patient and understanding nature, together with my ability to effectively communicate with today’s youth, that will allow me to successfully reach our students.
Should you and your staff like to discuss this further, I invite you to contact me via phone (716-397-4443) or email (scottrucinski@yahoo.com).
I thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Scott Rucinski
